New luxe designer range by Francesca Grace

It’s great to add a new designer to our family, and Francesca Grace Design Studio of Brighton produced some inspiring house sign ideas for us. Usually we’ve met new partners at exhibitions but that’s not been possible for around half a year now. But our website is hosted by EKM, and it has a Facebook community who, as well as sharing problems, also introduce themselves from time to time.

And that’s where we saw Francesca. Her background is fine art, subsequently moving into soft furnishings such as cushions and lampshades, and now even face masks. Her rich, colourful patterns, full of flowers, insects, birds and – yes – lemurs, will appeal to anyone who loves a maximal look. So much so, that our first approach was to ask for some fabric for our dining chairs.

Being delighted with the result, we offered to do a sign for Francesca’s own studio, which she based on the colours of her logo and included her cat, Evie, reaching out for a feather from a bed of flowers in shades of red, pink and purple. This formed the basis of our sign ‘Stretching Cat’, which is printed on our silver finish so that the border and numbers or lettering appear as gold and giving a jewel-like effect to the flowers. It’s a truly luxe design.

Two other designs followed: ‘Soaring birds’ – with the bluebird as featured in the furnishing fabric we chose; and ‘Bird of Paradise’. Only for the bold, these designs are of course exclusive to Selene Signs, and come only in our round shape with 20 cm diameter. They are printed on our white glossy aluminium, to enhance the depth of colour. You’ll also see the clever use of shadows that stretch across all the concentric circles of the design and give a 3D effect.

Should you want an addition to your front door or garden that’s unusual, stunning artistic, then check out the Francesca Grace range on our website www.selene-signs.uk
