Almost happy returns!
Do you know a duck called Charlotte? I’m sure she’d love this handsome drake sign for her duck house. As indeed would any lady so named – or maybe a Charlotte used to live in your cottage long, long ago. Whatever, I’d be happy to sell this sign to you for a mere bagatelle plus postage, because it was returned to us by an unhappy customer.
There’s nothing wrong with it at all, it’s in perfect condition, only the buyer wanted a round sign when their order quite clearly states the size as 18 x 24 centimetres, not 20 cm diameter.

In another instance, a customer thought we supplied ceramic signs, but if they’d read the description they would have seen our warning that ‘this is NOT a ceramic tile product’ and mentions its material as aluminium four times. If your house, holiday home, garden room or beach hut could be enhanced by naming it ‘Casa Mimosa’, please make us an offer on this cute 15 x 10 cm sign.
There is no obligation for Selene to refund in either instance – in common with many suppliers of personalised products. But we do offer a ‘no quibble’ service that provided the sign is well-packed and sent back to us, we’ll give a full refund. Even though the chances of our being able to re-sell them are slim, we can still use the signs for photography or as samples when we have a stall at a charity fair.
Very occasionally, our signs are delivered with a fault and in those cases all we ask is that you send us a photo showing what is wrong. We will either arrange a replacement free of charge of give you a refund. No need to send the faulty sign to us – keep it or put it in the metal recycling stream. Under our five-year guarantee this also applies to issues that arise at a later date, although we’re still curious to find out what those might be.
If you want one of our signs, please remember they are all personalised and made especially for you. We don’t mass produce or hold stock, and as we are a small company it’s only fair that you read the product description to the end to ensure your order is correct. That way we’ll keep our returns to the happy level – which is none!
