Everything's coming up roses!

House signs with a rose image are almost universally popular, and as noted before, ‘Rose Cottage’ is our most requested house name. The sign featuring the apricot rose is now a best seller but isn’t necessarily everyone’s first choice, so we have now introduced several alternative designs.

Highly unusual but undeniably pretty is our brand new ‘Wild Rose’ sign. We came across this vintage sample for wallpaper in Arts & Crafts style and couldn’t resist adopting it. As well as the basic wallpaper pattern of pink roses it also includes borders that would have gone around a dado or picture rail, and a roundel with juicy rose hips to complete the image. If you like the work of William Morris, live in an Edwardian house or love highly decorative art, this is for you. Because of the unusual dimensions, the Wild Rose sign comes in two sizes: 15 x 22.5 cm or 18 x 32 cm that are slightly different from our usual ranges.

If you’d prefer a simpler design, then we have also recently launched the Pink Rose house sign, displaying two blooms from a carefully restored vintage image. Great as a cottage sign, it comes in four rectangular sizes as well as our popular round shape.

All a bit too tame? Then release your inner (or outer) Goth and plump for our Skull Roses design. We’re shortly to introduce a version with a black background instead of the current white, suspecting it may appeal to those of you from dark side.
