Hold very tight please. Ding ding!

Hold very tight please. Ding ding!

For any of us above a certain age those words bring back plenty of memories, along with ‘no standing upstairs’ or ‘room for one more inside’. Yes, I’m talking about riding on a double decker bus in the days when they had clippies – conductors – who took your fare and exercised an iron grip on passenger behaviour.

Our latest sign launch is a trip down memory lane as it features the red London bus, the Routemaster, that has acquired status reserved for telephone boxes, Big Ben and Tower Bridge as a symbol of the capital. The distinctive double deckers are allowed to ply certain heritage routes, so you can still try your chance jumping on or off the open platform at the back while the bus is moving.

The London Bus sign features one of our own photographs, cunningly reproduced as a watercolour painting. It can include your house number or name, or special words to make it a unique Father’s Day gift for the man with a shed, garage or den. Bright and colourful, the retro sign makes a delightful reminder of visits of London or of bus transport anywhere.

It comes in four rectangular sizes or two circular sizes, although we can do larger on request. All are printed on weatherproof and lightweight aluminium, easy to put up and long-lasting outside.
