New – memorial crosses

A permanent memorial to a loved one gives us comfort and a focal point for remembering the best about their life with you. We have launched a selection of solid oak crosses with engraved plaques for those who want this traditional symbol, ready for placement in a garden or other outdoor space. A memorial cross will also make a thoughtful gift for anniversaries, remembrance days and other special occasions.

The plaque is engraved with your exact wording and filled with black paint to create a durable finish. All our crosses are crafted from solid oak and treated to withstand the elements, with a tapered end allowing it to be pushed straight into the ground.

Selene offers two different materials for the plaque. Brass is a perennial favourite but you need to be aware that, like silver, it can tarnish. This requires maintenance, for which we supply a small sample of brass polish with every order. Regular polishing can help build up resistance to tarnishing over time.

Should you require a plaque needing less attention, then our gold laminate finish plaque is a good choice. It has warm gold appearance and will last well through all weathers.

The crosses come in three sizes, small 12” high and 6” wide; medium 18” high and 9” wide; and our largest 36” high by 19” wide.
