When the red, red robin finally bobbed along

When the red, red robin finally bobbed along

“What took you so long?” you may be asking, when after squiddly-diddly years in business Selene is only now launching a Robin house sign. “It’s the most popular bird in the country,” you say, “and look how cute it is, following you around the garden as you dig over the vegetable patch.” Robins appear to love us, and we reciprocate, especially at the festive season when they appear in a thousand snowy scenes.

And it was the robin’s popularity that held us back – every competitor that sells signs with a picture element already offered one. We’ve prided ourselves on being a bit different, moving sign imagery into realms where no sign-maker had ventured before, and we continue to push the boundaries.

But demand drives us too, and after a request for a robin on a bespoke sign earlier this year, we discovered an image we couldn’t resist making available to everyone. It’s a watercolour illustration by artist Kate Rose, who combines her work from home in California with looking after her two children.

And if you’d like an alternative robin sign, we have several other images available. All can be personalised with your house name or number, or special words to make a shed or garden sign. Of course, with Christmas coming up, we may be able to add some snow or seasonal foliage for a welcome sign that will last throughout the winter period.

But hurry – if you would like a sign before the holidays, you’ll need to order by 9th December!  https://www.selene-signs.uk/robin-house-or-cottage-sign-1463-p.asp
