Dutch tiles house sign or wall plaque

Wanting a sign with a maritime theme for a former fisherman's cottage in South Africa, a customer was delighted when we suggested a design inspired by Dutch or Delft tiles. Now a sister design to our popular Spanish Tiles, our Dutch Tiles sign is perfect for anyone who likes a classic blue and white colour scheme to complement their home, garden or summerhouse.

The sign uses vintage images for the tiles, including sailing ships, fish, sea creatures, and other nautical symbols - even a cheeky mermaid - making it ideal for seaside homes, beach huts, beach houses or for anyone who loves coastal style. The Dutch Tiles sign comes in a landscape format, in four rectangular sizes: 15 x 10 cm; 20 x 15 cm; 24 x 18 cm; or 28 x 21 cm for maximum kerb appeal or large porches. All have rounded corners for safe handling. We can do portrait versions too, where the width is shorter than the height - just let us know, or a smaller size for pillars and doors.

Please include your house name, number or address in the personalisation box, or add your own words for a unique gift as a decorative wall plaque. Enter any letters either in CAPITALS or Upper/lower case, exactly as you wish the words or address to appear on the custom sign.

This beautiful house sign from Selene Signs is printed on glossy white aluminium by dye sublimation. This means the image is absorbed into the surface of the aluminium rather than sitting on it and doesn't flake or peel off. The signs are weatherproof, fade resistant and come with a five-year guarantee.

The lightweight aluminium makes the sign easy to put up, with no DIY skills needed. There are no ugly screw holes to spoil the design, and we recommend using hook and loop pads that will stay up through storms and all weathers (supplied for UK customers). At the end of its life, the house sign can be recycled alongside other household metal waste.

Delivery: all our house signs and wall plaques are made to order, so delivery will be within five-seven workings days in the UK or EU; longer for other countries. As we are a small company, delivery times may be affected by our own holidays, but we aim to let you know. Orders are usually dispatched by courier and we will give you estimated delivery dates in advance.

Care of your sign: our signs are only 1.5 millimetres thick, so rainwater runs off them and doesn't collect on the sealed surface or top. Cleaning usually only requires a quick rub down with a wet or dry soft cloth. But please don't use abrasive or chemical cleaners that may damage the surface.
